مولاي هذا العامُ جاء بفتحه
يسعىhastens بتعظيمwith reverence لكمfor you وتكرُّمand honor
يسعى بتعظيم لكم وتكرُّم
My lord, this year has come with its victory,
My Master, this year comes with its blessings
hastening to offer you reverence and honor.
It hastens with magnifying and honoring you
وبحلّand with the capture of وسلاتOueslat أتاكcame to you مؤرّخاgiving a chronogram
وبحلّ وسلات أتاك مؤرّخا
قدindeed حُلّwas taken وسلاتٌOueslat ببدءat a beginning مُحترمhonored
قد حُلّ وسلاتٌ ببدء مُحترم
And with the capture of Oueslat, it came to you bearing a chronogram:
And with new clothes and gifts it came dating you
“Oueslat has indeed been taken at an honored beginning.”
