أَزيدَ في اللَيلِ لَيلُ
أَمor سالَflowed بِالصُبحِwith the dawn سَيلُa torrent
أَم سالَ بِالصُبحِ سَيلُ
Has another night been added to the night,
Does the night add more night?
or has a torrent swept the dawn away?
Or does the dawn pour a flood?
ياO إِخوَتيmy brothers بِدُجَيلٍat Dujayl
يا إِخوَتي بِدُجَيلٍ
وَأَينَand where مِنّيfrom me دُجَيلُDujayl
وَأَينَ مِنّي دُجَيلُ
O my brothers at Dujayl,
O my brothers in Dujail,
and how far Dujayl is from me!
