أَمسِكRefrain فَديتُكَmay I be your ransom عَنfrom عِتابِreproaching مُحَمَّدٍMuhammad
أَمسِك فَديتُكَ عَن عِتابِ مُحَمَّدٍ
فَهُوَfor he المَصونُthe cherished one لِوُدِّهِfor his affection المُتَحاذَرُthe one treated with caution
فَهُوَ المَصونُ لِوُدِّهِ المُتَحاذَرُ
Refrain, may I be your ransom, from reproaching Muhammad.
Hold back your reproach from Muhammad
For he is cherished for his affection, and treated with caution.
For he guards his affection and is prudent
