كَأَنَّهُ وَوُلاةُ العَهدِ تَتبَعُهُ
بَدرُthe full moon السَماءِof the sky تَلَتهُfollowed it الأَنجُمُthe stars الزُهُرُthe shining
بَدرُ السَماءِ تَلَتهُ الأَنجُمُ الزُهُرُ
As though he, with the heirs apparent following him,
As though he, and the heirs to power, follow after
were the full moon in the sky, followed by the shining stars.
