وَليAnd I have حَبيبٌa beloved أَبَداًalways مولَعٌeager
وَلي حَبيبٌ أَبَداً مولَعٌ
بِزَورَتيto visit me فيin وَقتِthe time of إِعداميmy poverty
بِزَورَتي في وَقتِ إِعدامي
And I have a beloved, forever eager
I have a lover forever enthralled
To visit me when I am penniless.
By my visage when I'm led to be killed
كَالصَيدِlike game فيduring الإِحلالِfreedom from ritual consecration لاnot يَرتَميcomes within range
كَالصَيدِ في الإِحلالِ لا يَرتَمي
وَهوَand it is كَثيرٌplentiful وَقتَat the time of إِحرامِritual consecration
وَهوَ كَثيرٌ وَقتَ إِحرامِ
Like game that stays out of range when hunting is lawful,
Like prey during the permitted time won't fling itself
Yet is plentiful during ritual consecration.
Yet plentiful in the forbidden span
