يُهْدى به الركب أنَّى وجهةً سلكوا
When I enfold a sun and a full moon of the darkness,
If I encompass a sun and a moon lit night
by which the caravan is guided, whichever direction they take,
By which travellers are guided wherever they go
فمنthen whoever دعانيcalls me قميصاًa shirt باتَhas become يَظْلمُنيwrongs me
فمن دعاني قميصاً باتَ يَظْلمُني
وإنماand only أناI لوif أنصفْتُمُyou judged fairly فَلكُa celestial sphere
وإنما أنا لو أنصفْتُمُ فَلكُ
then whoever calls me a shirt does me wrong;
Yet he who called me a shirt, wears me in darkness
and I am, if you would judge fairly, nothing but a celestial sphere.
Though I am but a celestial orb, if you judge fairly
