Sons of our uncle, cease the slander, for it
Our paternal cousins stopped the oppression when
turns dawn's whiteness gray with dust.
It was about to return the whiteness of dawn to morning dust

Let not forbearance's gentleness make fools of you;
Do not let dreams mock you gently
for behind forbearance lies might that casts men into dust.
For the calmness of dreams can be greatly disturbing

Ours is the eminence the two Maliks acquired,
We have what benefits the angels of highness
and what al-Qa'qa' won in glory and grounds for pride.
And what the palm trees gain of glory and pride
