يا منْ فَخارُ تميمٍ

بهِ وكلِّ القَبائلْ

O you through whom Tamim finds glory,

O you who the pride of Tameem is for him

and all the tribes as well;

ومن له قُسُّ أضْحى

ومن له قُسُّ أضْحى

عبداً وسحْبانُ وائل

عبداً وسحْبانُ وائل

And you, to whom Quss has become

As well as Suhban and Wa'il

ما حامِلٌ لِعُلومٍ

ما حامِلٌ لِعُلومٍ

أصاب فيها الأوائلْ

أصاب فيها الأوائلْ

What bearer of learning,

No bearer of burdens for knowledge

in which the ancients succeeded,

Has attained the first place in it

لا يستطيعُ كلاماً

لا يستطيعُ كلاماً

اِلا اجابةَ سائلْ

اِلا اجابةَ سائلْ

cannot speak

Cannot speak a word

except to answer a questioner,

Except answering a questioner
