O generous one, who has won first place in glory
O noble steed, you have excelled in attaining glory,
And wisdom—may God keep you from stumbling.
And God has kept you from stumbling into harm.

God has protected you from the whims of fate,
Forever, while the night traveler journeys through highlands and lowlands.
Never failing to aid those journeying afar.

And may you remain for all time, your glory undiminished,
You have remained through time endowed with glory,
Bestowing bounty or defending what is in your charge.
Granting wishes or protecting those in need.

You were a youth among the noble ones, o valiant,
And outstripped the people in endeavor and lineage.
Excelling your people in strife and endeavor.

O you whose heart is free of deceit, who regard
O you whose heart is free of any deceit and sees
Deceptive counsels as sins and disgrace,
The frauds of opinions as sins and disgrace.

And who deem small what you have bestowed lavishly,
And he who belittles what you have generously given
Thus seeing seas as pools and rocky hollows.
Sees paltriness and scarce oceans.

So when you deem scant an overflowing abundance
So if an abundant cloak is borrowed from you,
Of gifts, you lavish apologies upon generosity.
Of a love most generous in apologizing its giving.

The pillar of religion whose benevolence
Has never ceased to be rain and showers in drought.
Has never ceased being sincere and abundant.

Night brightens at the horizon and grows radiant.
The night unveils a horizon and lightens.
