May you live on, Abu al-Fadl, whose witnesses

To excellence and beneficence are the poor and the learned.

For your rulings in difficult matters are keen-edged swords,

And your bounty in times of drought is rain clouds.

    له منكَ رُكْنٌ راسِخٌ ودَعائمُ

    And you are Baha al-Din—the splendor of the faith—beyond all doubt;

In you it has a steadfast pillar and supports.

Of your wealth, through honorable earning and generosity,

You are, throughout time and days, both builder and destroyer.

And you are forever a provider to whoever hopes for your bounty,

And withhold from the sinner who reproaches generosity.

And you display the victory your resolve reveals,

And conceal the generosity your modesty hides.

So may you be congratulated on the sacred month, and may

Glory and noble virtues be congratulated on the favors of your white hands.
