I prayed to God, Lord of the Throne, knowing
I called upon God, Lord of the Mighty Throne, knowing
that God listens to prayer,
That God hears the supplication.

for your continued life, O Ghiyath al-Din, noble-hearted,
May you remain, O Succor of the Faith, intrepid,
your command obeyed, your banner victorious.
Obeyed in command, victorious with banners unfurled.

مقامُthe place of الماءِwater فيناamong us والهَواءِand air
For you, when a discerning man appraises you,
For when they measure you, O Brilliant One,
hold among us the place of water and air:
You are to us as water and air -
إذاwhen فسداboth turn foul فمهْلِكُthen destructive to كلevery شيءٍthing
وإنand if صَحَّاboth are sound فداعيةٌthen a cause of البَقاءِcontinued life
when both turn foul, they destroy all things;
Should they go bad, then all things perish,
and if both are sound, they sustain life.
But health in them is the summoner of existence.
