عيك بعُلْويِّ السجايا فانها

تُعيد الدَّنيَّ الأصل صدراً مباهيا
Hold fast to lofty virtues, for they
With affection untie my fetters, for they
make one of lowly birth a proud leader.
Return the base man to virtue with pride
ألمdid ... not? ترنيyou see me بعضone of الحجارةthe stones لمnot يزلْcease
ألم ترني بعض الحجارة لم يزلْ
بيin me الصدقtruth حتىuntil صرتI became فيamong الناسpeople قاضياa judge
بي الصدق حتى صرت في الناس قاضيا
Have you not seen me, one of the stones? Unceasingly,
Have you not seen some stones that still
truth remained in me until I became a judge among men.
Retain their truth, so I judge people with honesty
