Glory's embrace enfolds in him a firmly rooted mountain,
The jewel of glory rests in its possession,
beside whom Yadhbul and Yalamlam are dwarfed.
While the withered and faded fall short of it.

اذا زانَ أخلاقَ الرجالِ التَحَلُّم
And his innate forbearance forgives the gravest offense,
His innate clemency forgives the gravest sin,
when cultivated forbearance adorns men's character.
When the manners of men are adorned with forbearance.

When swift death reveals itself, he is a lion;
When death lays bare its agonies, they are ephemeral,
and if the supplicant folk arrive, he is a sea of bounty.
And if the ignoble masses arrive, they soon disperse.

He is eminent and munificent in learning and generosity;
He is the virtuous and favored one in knowledge and munificence,
through his kindness, the ignorant and the destitute grow rich.
His benevolence enriches the ignorant and destitute.

عَطاءً ولا الهولُ المُحاذر يعْظمُ
I attached myself to him: no wealth is too much for him
Neither wealth in plenty impresses him,
to give, nor is dreaded terror too great.
Nor awesome fears make him withhold.

So I gave freely to supplicants from the overflow of his bounty,
I found through his overflowing munificence,
and the resolute armored warrior was humbled by my daring.
The prosperous humbled, and the resolute submitting.
