Faith has become all smiles from overflowing joy,
Tomorrow religion will out of excessive joy

ويزدنُ بالجود العميم له خصمُ
The sea nearly ebbs away in shame before him,
The sea almost boils from shyness because of it,
And a rival to it is adorned with all-embracing generosity.
And its generous, bountiful opponent gets angry at it.

Nor have we seen before him a lion in whom were united
And we have not seen a lion before it who gathered
His courage, generosity, knowledge, and understanding.
His courage, generosity, knowledge and understanding.

The army's armored champion flees when facing him,
The mass of the army flees during his fighting
Just as poverty fled from the bounty of his palm.
As the non-existence fled from the comfort of Ma'roof.
فلاso may ... not زالcease يطويpass through كلevery عيدٍfeast بمثلهِwith another like it
فلا زال يطوي كل عيدٍ بمثلهِ
وتُثنيand may ... praise بفضليهfor his two virtues المعاركُthe battles والسَّلمُand peace
وتُثني بفضليه المعاركُ والسَّلمُ
So may he ever pass from each feast to another like it,
So he continued to fold up every festival with its like,
And may battles and peace praise him for his two virtues.
And the battles and peace bend down to his virtues.
