May your safety gladden piety and faith.

For there is no faith save where you strive in its cause.

The tribe’s eloquent and tongue-tied are equals in speaking of you,

In praise—for all speech about you is poetry.

Just as sunlight spreads far and wide, there is none

Among mankind to deny it—not even the blind man.

And if I could fulfill my love’s duty, it would be spent—

My lifetime—in thanking you; God is witness.

So may the days never be without you, nor may there be

A praiser bereft of words to describe your glory.
