1. بهاء الدين دعوةَ ذي ولاءٍ

    مدائحهُ تَسُرُّكَ والثَّناءُ

    Baha al-Din, accept a loyal man's prayer,

    whose praises and acclaim delight you.

  2. له في كل مجتمعٍ مديحٌ

    وعند سُتورِ خلْوتهِ دُعاءُ

    For him there is praise in every gathering,

    and prayer at the curtains of his private retreat.

  3. اذا نقضَ العُهودَ رجالُ غَدرٍ

    فشيمتهُ التَّحفُّظُ والوَفاءُ

    When men of treachery break their pledges,

    then his way is caution and fidelity.

  4. تَهَنَّ قدومَه شهراً حَراماً

    لنفسكَ فيه ما كَرَّ البَقاءُ

    Rejoice in his coming as in a sacred month,

    in which your life is inviolable, as long as life endures.

  5. فأنت المرءُ مَلَّكَهُ المعالي

    حليفاهُ البسالَةُ والعطاءُ

    For you are the man made master of lofty honors

    by his two allies: valor and generosity.

  6. زُعازعُ عَزْمةٍومُنيفُ طوْدٍ

    اذا حَسُنَ التَّأيُّدُ والمَضاءُ

    Tempests of resolve and a towering mountain,

    when strength and decisiveness are at their finest.

  7. فيشهدُ بالفضيلةِ غيرَ زورٍ

    لهمتَّكَ التَّكَرُّمُ والحَياءُ

    Thus, without falsehood, virtue is attested

    in your aspiration by magnanimity and modesty.
