فللهِso, praise be to God ماwhat أولىbestowed upon الزمانَthe age طِرادُTirad
Tirad, a man of noble deeds and high honor, begot him.
He was nourished, a purifier of great virtues and sublimity
God be praised for what Tirad bestowed upon the age!
So God made the times revolve around the purifier
فجاءso he came ربيعَspring عامِof a year أماas for رُواؤهُhis appearance
فشمسٌso, a sun وأمَّاand as for كَفُّهُhis palm فَعِهادُso, successive rains
So he came as the year's spring; as for his appearance,
Then came the spring of a year, its watering
it is a sun; and as for his palm, it is rain upon rain.
A sun, and its palm a pillar

اذاwhen قيلَit is said مَنّاعُstaunch defender of الحَريمِthe household جَوادُa generous man
Life and wealth mean little to him in pursuit of high honor,
Life and money become trivial to him in high endeavor
when he is called a staunch defender of his household, a generous man.
When it is said who protects the sanctuaries, he is generous

From a people who advance boldly when trembling cowards recoil,
Of the people, if the thunderbolts advance they march
and if the thick-fringed clouds are miserly, they give freely.
And if the rain clouds are stingy they give

Noble lords—if ever a limit is set to glory,
With glories, is there a limit to glory?
they surpass the speck-tainted limit and go farther.
They transcended limits and added more

A tent of high honor, its supporting pillar lofty among humankind,
A lofty tent, sublime pillars in the world
and you are its pillar on the day of boasting.
And you are its pillar on the day of pride
