When dust-gray years withhold their bounty, make for

his generosity, even if you halt your riding camels on rough ground.

For the pale camels’ resting-place within his land

is sure to restore flesh to the exhausted, emaciated ones.

You seek a lavish provider of evening meals, and the master

of the assembly, and one who sets battle and cauldrons seething.

In times of trouble, you find in him a defender,

fiercely protective, and in barren years, a downpour of bounty.
