فيat غايةٍthe utmost degree وسِواكَand others besides you منهاin them مُخْدَجُdeficient
All noble qualities were gathered for you, with none to rival you—
All qualities were gathered for you, without a rival,
At their utmost perfection, while all besides you remain incomplete in them.
At their utmost perfection; all others fall short of them.
فحِماكَthus your protected domain مُعتصمٌa refuge وكفُّكَand your hand ديمَةٌa gentle, lasting rain
وسُطالكَand your onslaught (uncertain reading) مُعْطبةٌdeadly ووجهكand your face أبْلجُradiant
Your protection is a refuge, and your hand is steady rain;
Thus your domain is a refuge, and your hand a gentle, lasting rain.
Your onslaught is destruction, and your face shines radiant—
And your onslaught is deadly, and your face radiant.

A scorching wind, a violent gale against your enemies’ very souls,
A scorching, violent gale upon the hearts of enemies,
But for the loyal friend, the bliss of a mild night.
And to an ally, the gentle breeze of a mild night.

حيناًat times وعزمُكwhile your resolve يستطيرُtakes flight ويمْعَجُand speeds onward
Aspirations sometimes stumble in striving for the heights,
Resolutions stumble in striving for the heights
While your resolve takes wing and speeds onward,
At times, while your resolve takes flight and speeds onward.

Exultant and smiling whenever death turns aside;
Joyful and smiling when death scowls,
And happier still when granting petitioners what they seek.
And when he gives to those seeking bounty, happier still.
