هنيئاً بهاء الدين للمجدِ والعُلى

بقاؤكَ ما جَلَّى الظَّلام سنى الفجر

بقاؤكَ ما جَلَّى الظَّلام سنى الفجر

A blessing to glory and eminence, Baha al-Din,

Congratulations Bahá'u'lláh for glory and loftiness

is your enduring life, as long as dawn's radiance dispels the dark.

Your existence illuminated the darkness of dawn

وما زلْت فرَّاعاً لكُلِّ مُنيفَةٍ

وما زلْت فرَّاعاً لكُلِّ مُنيفَةٍ

من المجد موفورَ المناقب والقَدْرِ

من المجد موفورَ المناقب والقَدْرِ

And you have never ceased scaling every lofty height

You have always been generous to every noble soul

of glory, rich in noble qualities and esteem,

With abundant glory, virtues and worth

صياماً وفِطْراً حيث نُعماكَ جَمَّةٌ

صياماً وفِطْراً حيث نُعماكَ جَمَّةٌ

وتقواك في صوم الزمان وفي الفِطْر

وتقواك في صوم الزمان وفي الفِطْر

in fasting and in breaking the fast, for your bounty is abundant,

Fasting or breaking fast, your favors abound

and your piety abides in time's fasting and its breaking of the fast.

And your piety in fasting the times or breaking fast

وأنت أبو الفضل المُشارُ لفضْلِهِ

وأنت أبو الفضل المُشارُ لفضْلِهِ

وإِفضاله في سورة الجهد والفَقْر

وإِفضاله في سورة الجهد والفَقْر

And you are Abu al-Fadl, renowned for his excellence

You are the most virtuous, the exemplar of nobility

and his generosity amid the fury of hardship and poverty.

And generosity in times of hardship and poverty

تقولُ بَليغاً والبليغُ مُجَمْجِمٌ

تقولُ بَليغاً والبليغُ مُجَمْجِمٌ

وتمْطر سَحّاً والسَّماءُ بِلا قطْرِ

وتمْطر سَحّاً والسَّماءُ بِلا قطْرِ

You speak eloquently while the eloquent speaker falters,

You speak eloquently, as eloquent speech enchants

and you rain in torrents while the sky yields not a drop.

And you rain heavily, while the sky is without drops

وترعى فروض العهد والنِّكس غادرٌ

وترعى فروض العهد والنِّكس غادرٌ

خَؤونٌ ولم يبق الثَّناءُ مع الغَدْرِ

خَؤونٌ ولم يبق الثَّناءُ مع الغَدْرِ

And you uphold the covenant's duties, while the base man is treacherous,

You uphold the covenants, while the disloyal are traitors

ever faithless—and praise does not endure alongside treachery.

Deceitful, with no praise remaining despite betrayal

فدُمْ فائضَ الإحسان جوداً ونجْدةً

فدُمْ فائضَ الإحسان جوداً ونجْدةً

وشيك القرى حامي الحمى عاجل النصر

وشيك القرى حامي الحمى عاجل النصر

So remain overflowing with beneficence, in generosity and valor,

So continue your abundant kindness and aid

swift in hospitality, defender of the domain, quick to give aid.

Protector of sanctuaries, swift victor
