الحَيُّthe people أعْلَمُknow best بالمجدِabout the glory الذيthat فيكاwithin you
الحَيُّ أعْلَمُ بالمجدِ الذي فيكا
I do not claim for you what my love embellishes;
My love for you I do not exaggerate
The people know best the glory within you.
The living knows the glory that is in you

How often have clouds disappointed those hoping for rain from them,
How disappointment has disappointed those who hope for rain from the clouds
Yet none who hopes in you has been disappointed by the dew of your palms.
Yet those hoping for the dew of your palms were not disappointed

In you lies the sum of every proud person's glory;
The pride of every proud one is in you altogether
So everyone who praises glory has you in mind.
So every praise is towards your glories

So do not worry about misfortunes that you were their knight
For your good deeds will save you.
