يا إِمامَ الهُدى عَلَوْتَ عَن الجودِ

يا إِمامَ الهُدى عَلَوْتَ عَن الجودِ

بمالٍ منْ فِضَّةٍ أو نُضارِ

بمالٍ منْ فِضَّةٍ أو نُضارِ

O imam of guidance, you have risen above generosity

O Imam of guidance, you have transcended generosity

In wealth of silver or pure gold.

With wealth of silver or freshness

فَوهَبْتَ الأعْمارَ والأمْنَ والبُلْدانَ

فَوهَبْتَ الأعْمارَ والأمْنَ والبُلْدانَ

كُلاً في ساعةٍ منْ نَهارِ

كُلاً في ساعةٍ منْ نَهارِ

For you bestowed lives, safety, and lands,

So you granted lifetimes, safety, and homelands

All within a single hour of daylight.

Each in an hour of daylight

فَبماذا يُثْنى عليكَ وقد جاوزتَ

فَبماذا يُثْنى عليكَ وقد جاوزتَ

فضْلَ البِحارِ والأمْطارِ

فضْلَ البِحارِ والأمْطارِ

How, then, can you be praised, when you have surpassed

With what then may you be praised, when you have surpassed

The bounty of the seas and rains?

The excellence of seas and rains?

إنَّما أنتَ مُعْجِزٌ مُستمرٌّ

إنَّما أنتَ مُعْجِزٌ مُستمرٌّ

خارِقٌ للعقولِ والأفْكارِ

خارِقٌ للعقولِ والأفْكارِ

You are nothing but an enduring marvel,

You are but a continuous miracle

Defying reason and thought.

Defying minds and thoughts

جمعتْ نفسُكَ الشَّريفَةُ بالجودِ

جمعتْ نفسُكَ الشَّريفَةُ بالجودِ

وبالبأسِ بينَ ماءٍ ونارِ

وبالبأسِ بينَ ماءٍ ونارِ

Your noble soul has united, through generosity

Your noble soul has united generosity

And through valor, water and fire.

And valor between water and fire
