تَبلَّجَshone forth دينُthe religion of اللّهِGod فيin كلِّevery خُطَّةٍundertaking
تَبلَّجَ دينُ اللّهِ في كلِّ خُطَّةٍ
وأنْتَand you are لهُfor it عندduring الجهادِholy war المُظَفَّرُthe victorious one
وأنْتَ لهُ عند الجهادِ المُظَفَّرُ
God’s religion has shone forth in every undertaking,
The religion of God shone in every plan
and you are its victorious champion in holy war.
And you are for Him in the victorious jihad
وهَوَّنand eased جَدْبdrought العامof the year والمحلwhile famine عارقٌgnawing away
وهَوَّن جَدْب العام والمحل عارقٌ
بنانُكَyour fingertips تَهْميstream down بالنَّوالِwith bounty وتهْمُرُand pour forth
بنانُكَ تَهْمي بالنَّوالِ وتهْمُرُ
And the year’s drought was eased, while famine gnawed,
The drought of the year and place was eased
by your fingertips, streaming bounty and pouring it forth.
By your clouds pouring rain and thunder rumbling
فأنتfor you are الحياthe rain الهطَّالpouring abundantly والغيثُwhile the rain حابسٌholding back
فأنت الحيا الهطَّال والغيثُ حابسٌ
وأنتand you are الحِمىthe refuge والمَشْرفيَّةُwhile the Mashrafi swords تقْطُرdrip
وأنت الحِمى والمَشْرفيَّةُ تقْطُر
For you are the downpour while the rain holds back,
You are the pouring rain and the rain withholding clouds
and you are the refuge while the Mashrafi swords drip.
And you are the protected sanctuary dripping
يطيبُis sweet لعافيfor the supplicant of يزدنٍYazdan موردُthe watering place of النَّدىgenerosity
يطيبُ لعافي يزدنٍ موردُ النَّدى
ويكْرُمُand is graced بالنُّعْمىwith bounty إِيابٌreturn ومصْدرand departure
ويكْرُمُ بالنُّعْمى إِيابٌ ومصْدر
The wellspring of generosity is sweet to Yazdan’s petitioner,
The watering place of Nadaa is pleasant to Eafee
and return and departure are graced with bounty.
And it honors with blessings coming and going
أغَرُّradiant كأنَّas though الصُّبْحthe dawn منْfrom قسماتِهhis features
أغَرُّ كأنَّ الصُّبْح منْ قسماتِه
منthan السيفthe sword أمضىsharper والشَّوامخand the lofty mountains أصْبرmore steadfast
من السيف أمضى والشَّوامخ أصْبر
Radiant, as though dawn arose from his features,
Dazzling as if the morning from his features
sharper than the sword and more steadfast than the lofty mountains.
Of the sword accomplished and the high peaks more patient
رآهُsaw him أميرُcommander of المؤمنينَthe faithful مُهَنَّداًan Indian-forged sword
رآهُ أميرُ المؤمنينَ مُهَنَّداً
يَقُدُّcleaves بهwith him صِيدَhaughty ones الرِّقابِthe necks وينْثُرُand scatters
يَقُدُّ به صِيدَ الرِّقابِ وينْثُرُ
The Commander of the Faithful saw him as an Indian-forged sword,
The Commander of the Faithful saw him subdued
with which he cleaves the proud-necked and scatters them.
Leading with it the hunted necks scattered
