بأهلby the people of المُنْحنَىthe bend عَرّجturn aside وأبلغْand convey
بأهل المُنْحنَى عَرّج وأبلغْ
مِنَfrom الصبّthe ardent lover المشوقfilled with longing بهِمْfor them سلامَهْhis greeting
مِنَ الصبّ المشوق بهِمْ سلامَهْ
Turn aside to the people of the bend, and convey
Visit those who yearn, and convey
the greeting of the lover who yearns for them.
Greetings from an ardent lover to them
وإيّاكand you must beware الحريقَburning بنارby the fire of قلبيmy heart
وإيّاك الحريقَ بنار قلبي
إذاwhen جئتَyou come الغضاthe ghada trees ولكand for you السلامَهsafety
إذا جئتَ الغضا ولك السلامَه
And beware of being burned by the fire of my heart
And beware of the blaze in my heart
when you come to the ghada trees—and may safety be yours.
When you come to the meadow, peace be upon you
