آلthe family of النبيthe Prophet هُمُthey are أتباعُfollowers of ملتِهhis faith
آل النبي هُمُ أتباعُ ملتِه
منfrom among الأَعاجمthe non-Arabs والسودانِand black people والعَربِand the Arabs
من الأَعاجم والسودانِ والعَربِ
The Prophet's family are the followers of his faith,
The Prophet's family are followers of his creed
from among non-Arabs, black people, and Arabs.
From non-Arabs, blacks, and Arabs indeed
لوif لَمnot يكُنwere آلهhis family إلاّexcept أقاربهhis relatives
لو لَم يكُن آله إلاّ أقاربه
صَلّىwould invoke blessings المصلّيthe worshipper علىupon الطّاغيthe transgressor أبيAbu (father of) لهبِLahab (flame)
صَلّى المصلّي على الطّاغي أبي لهبِ
Were his family none but his relatives,
Even if his family were only his kin
the worshipper would invoke blessings upon the transgressor Abu Lahab.
The worshipper would pray for Abu Lahab in sin
