قَالَ لَهُ الحاسدون لا ظفروا

قَالَ لَهُ الحاسدون لا ظفروا

منهُ بغَيرِ البعادِ والصدِّ

منهُ بغَيرِ البعادِ والصدِّ

The envious said to him—may they gain nothing

The envious said to him, "You shall not succeed,

from him but estrangement and rejection—

Except by being distant and cold."

ما بالُه قد سَلاكَ قال لهم

ما بالُه قد سَلاكَ قال لهم

حاشاه هذا فؤادُهُ عِندي

حاشاه هذا فؤادُهُ عِندي

“What ails him? He has forgotten you.” He said to them,

"What is with him that he approached you?" they asked.

“Far be it from him! His heart is here with me.”

He said, "Far from it! His heart is with me."
