O paradise of eternity, from which
O eternal paradise from which
I have encountered nothing but fire;

فيin قيدِthe fetters of ذلٍّhumiliation وانكسارِand brokenness
في قيدِ ذلٍّ وانكسارِ
May your might bring you joy; indeed, I am
Your might brings you honour, while I
in the fetters of humiliation and brokenness.
Am bound in humiliation and defeat

لأخذتُ من عَينيك ثاري
If I had strength against you,
If I had any power over you
I would exact my vengeance from your eyes.
I would take my vengeance from your eyes

But my love for you has oppressed me
But your love reigns over me
and shattered the pillars of my endurance.
And has toppled the pillars of my patience
