وما زال مِنكم حيث حلّ ركابُنا

وما زال مِنكم حيث حلّ ركابُنا

فتىً ماجدٌ يجري على حكمِه الدّهرُ

فتىً ماجدٌ يجري على حكمِه الدّهرُ

And wherever our mounts halted, there has always been among you

Wherever our path leads, one of you arises

a noble youth at whose command Time runs its course.

A glorious youth who holds sway over fate

فلا زلتم آل المطهر إنّما

فلا زلتم آل المطهر إنّما

بكم تُدفَعُ البلوى ويُستدفع الضرُّ

بكم تُدفَعُ البلوى ويُستدفع الضرُّ

So may you ever endure, O house of al-Mutahhar; it is only

O exalted family, through you

through you that affliction is repelled and harm is warded off.

Afflictions are dispelled and harm turned away

ملكتُم رقابَ العالمين بجودكم

ملكتُم رقابَ العالمين بجودكم

وإحْسَانكم حتى اسْتَوى العبد والحُرُّ

وإحْسَانكم حتى اسْتَوى العبد والحُرُّ

You have gained mastery over all mankind's necks through your generosity

You rule over all people with your generosity

and your beneficence, until the slave and the free became equal.

And kindness, till slave and freeman are as one

ألا في عُلاكم فلْيقُلْ كلّ قائلٍ

ألا في عُلاكم فلْيقُلْ كلّ قائلٍ

ففيكم لعمري يحسنُ النظمُ والنثرُ

ففيكم لعمري يحسنُ النظمُ والنثرُ

Lo, let every speaker speak of your lofty glory;

Let every speaker in praising your eminence proclaim

for, by my life, verse and prose are beautiful in your praise.

That in you, in truth, prose and verse excel
