أنِخْها فَهَذا مربعُ المجدِ والفَضْلِ

أنِخْها فَهَذا مربعُ المجدِ والفَضْلِ

وقِفْ نُملِ أَخبار المعالي ونَسْتَملي

وقِفْ نُملِ أَخبار المعالي ونَسْتَملي

Make her kneel, for this is the abode of glory and excellence.

Raise it, for this is the domain of glory and virtue

And halt: let us dictate accounts of noble deeds and receive dictation,

Stop, let us take in tidings of greatness, and let us gain

ونقضِ بهِ ما أوجَبَتْ شِرعةُ الندَى

ونقضِ بهِ ما أوجَبَتْ شِرعةُ الندَى

عَلى الحُرِّ مِنْ فَرضٍ أكيدٍ ومن نَفْلِ

عَلى الحُرِّ مِنْ فَرضٍ أكيدٍ ومن نَفْلِ

And there fulfill what the law of generosity has enjoined

And with it fulfill what the law of guidance

Upon the noble man, in binding duty and voluntary giving.

Obligates on the freeman of firm duty and supererogation
