لكُمْfor you آلَfamily of الرَّسولِthe Messenger جعلتُI have devoted ودّيmy love
وذاكَand that أجلُّthe noblest أسْبابِcauses of السَّعادَهْhappiness
To you, family of the Messenger, I have devoted my love,
For you, the family of the Prophet, I have pledged my love,
And that is the noblest cause of happiness.
And that is the greatest cause of happiness,
وَلَوْand if أَنّيthat I اسْتَطعتُI could لَزِدْتُI would increase حُبّاًlove
ولكِنْand yet لاَno سَبيلway إلىto الزِّيادَهْincrease
And if I could, I would increase my love,
If only I could increase my love,
But there is no way to increase it.
But there is no way to add more,
أعيشُI live وحبُّكُمْand love for you فَرضِيmy obligatory worship ونَفليand my voluntary worship
وأُحْشَرُand I shall be gathered وهوand it فيon عُنقِيmy neck قِلادَهْa necklace
I live, and love for you is my obligatory and voluntary worship,
I live with your love being my duty and extra,
And I shall be gathered with it as a necklace around my neck.
And I will be resurrected with it around my neck like a necklace,
أنَاضِلُI fight عَنْin defense of مكارِمِكمْyour noble virtues لأَنّيbecause I
كريمُnoble الأَصْلِin lineage ميمونُblessed الولادهْin birth
I defend your noble virtues, for I am
I defend the virtues of you, because I
Noble in lineage and blessed in birth.
Am noble by origin, auspicious by birth,
أظلُّI remain مجاهداًfighting لحَليفِagainst an ally of نَصْبٍenmity
أَضَلّhas lost بِبغْضِكمthrough hatred of you أبداًforever رَشَادَهْhis guidance
I keep fighting against an ally of enmity,
I remain struggling against the ally of adversity,
Who, through hatred of you, has forever lost his guidance.
Never straying by hating you the right path,
فإنso if أَسْلَمI survive فَأجْرٌthen a reward لَمْnot يَفتْنِيelude me
وَإنْand if أُقْتَلْI am killed فتُهْنُينيthen it gladdens me الشَّهادَهْmartyrdom
So if I survive, a reward will not elude me,
If I submit then it is a reward that did not tempt me,
And if I am killed, martyrdom will gladden me.
And if I am killed, then martyrdom will give me delight.
