رامَsought عُذّاليmy reproachers فيهconcerning him سلوةًforgetfulness
رامَ عُذّالي فيه سلوةً
دونَin the way of ماwhat راموهُthey sought it واللهِby God العماتُthe paternal aunts (literal; unclear in context)
دونَ ما راموهُ واللهِ العماتُ
My reproachers wished me to forget him.
The slanderers have sought in him a consolation
By God, the paternal aunts [unclear in context] stand in the way of what they sought.
Other than what they have intended, by Allah the most high
وَيْحalas for عُذّاليmy reproachers فيهِconcerning him ماnot دَرواthey knew
وَيْح عُذّالي فيهِ ما دَروا
أنّthat آياتverses غَراميmy passion مُحكماتُfirmly established
أنّ آيات غَرامي مُحكماتُ
Alas for my reproachers concerning him—they did not know
Woe to the slanderers in him, they do not know
that the verses of my passion are firmly established.
That the signs of my love for him are decisive
