And my malady comes from a tribesman who wore me thin
My love for my people has afflicted me
With his countenance and his languid gaze.
With their rising star and their ailing eyes
وقالواand they said منof قبيلِthe kind الوجدِpassionate longing دائيmy malady

And they said my malady is a kind of passionate longing.
They said, from the tribe of passion is my love
You spoke truly: that comes from this tribe.
You spoke true, that is of this ilk
