مَلكْتَyou have possessed ياO مالكيmy master قياديmy reins
مَلكْتَ يا مالكي قيادي
وصحَّand became secure فيin كفِّكَyour palm الزّمامُthe reins
وصحَّ في كفِّكَ الزّمامُ
You have taken my reins, O my master,
You have taken possession of me, my possessor,
And the reins are secure in your palm.
And the reins are sound in your hands,
فافْعَلْso do كماas تَشتهيyou desire فإنّيfor I
فافْعَلْ كما تَشتهي فإنّي
لمnot (past negation) أرضَI am content إلاّكَexcept you والسلامُand that is all
لم أرضَ إلاّكَ والسلامُ
So do as you desire, for I
So do as you desire, for I
Have been content with none but you—and that is all.
Have pleased none but you, and peace.
