Who would attend to disagreement and accord, in questions

and qualities—or to lofty glory—were it not for you?

For the hopeful, intercession at the Resurrection suffices—

from you—and before the Resurrection, your generosity.

Were the name “luminaries” uttered, never would stray

the mind of the listener toward anyone but you.

Or were a revelation sent after Ahmad,

verses and signs concerning you would appear in it.

Minds race one another to comprehend you,

yet the least of your reach eludes even the swiftest of them.

Uthman is your forefather, and that is enough for him,

and suffices; that is enough for you, and suffices you.

May the sun of sacred law never be bereft of you,

for its survival depends on your survival.
