في الحُبِّ أَضْحَى عِنْدَهُ مُلْغَى

في الحُبِّ أَضْحَى عِنْدَهُ مُلْغَى

Tell the one who turned away, and in whose eyes our share

Tell those who turned away and denied our love -

In love has become null and void:

In love, our fate with them is now erased

نَحْنُ سَلَوْنَا عَنْكَ لَكِنَّنَا

نَحْنُ سَلَوْنَا عَنْكَ لَكِنَّنَا

نُبْصِرُ مَنْ يَنْدَمُ يا بَغّا

نُبْصِرُ مَنْ يَنْدَمُ يا بَغّا

We have ceased longing for you, but we

We asked about you, but now we clearly see

Shall see who regrets it, O Bagha.

Who will regret this, oh you who strayed
