يَاO بَاعِثاًone sending forth شَعْرَهُhis hair انْتِشاراًspreading out
يَا بَاعِثاً شَعْرَهُ انْتِشاراً
بِقَامَةٍwith a stature مَاnot لَهَاfor it نَظِيرan equal
بِقَامَةٍ مَا لَهَا نَظِير
O you who spread your hair out,
O you who spread your hair wantonly
With a stature that has no equal,
With a figure matchless and without peer,
المَوْتُdeath مِنْfrom نَاظِرَيْكَyour two eyes لَكِنْbut
المَوْتُ مِنْ نَاظِرَيْكَ لَكِنْ
مَنْfrom شَعْرِكَyour hair البَعْثُresurrection والنُّشُورand rising again
مَنْ شَعْرِكَ البَعْثُ والنُّشُور
Death comes from your eyes, but
Death may come from your eyes, but
From your hair come resurrection and rising again.
Resurrection and new life spring from your hair.
