إِنِّيindeed, I لَفِيsurely in كَنفِthe protection of مَوْلىًa patron جُودُgenerosity رَاحَتِهِhis palm
إِنِّي لَفِي كَنفِ مَوْلىً جُودُ رَاحَتِهِ
كَمْhow much رَاحَةٍcomfort وَصَلَتْhas reached مِنْهُfrom him لإِنْسانِto a person
كَمْ رَاحَةٍ وَصَلَتْ مِنْهُ لإِنْسانِ
I am indeed under the protection of a patron with a generous palm;
In the care of a generous Lord is my refuge,
how much comfort has come from him to people!
Whose gifts to mankind are bountiful and free.
ماnot أَسْكَتَتْنِيsilenced me بِالمَعْرُوفِwith kindness مِنْهُfrom him يَدٌa hand
ما أَسْكَتَتْنِي بِالمَعْرُوفِ مِنْهُ يَدٌ
إِلّاexcept وَسَرَّحَand he released تَسْرِيحاًa release بِإِحْسَانِwith kindness
إِلّا وَسَرَّحَ تَسْرِيحاً بِإِحْسَانِ
No hand of his has silenced me with kindness
No hand with kindness has ever silenced me,
without his granting me a gracious release.
But he discharged my debts with utmost grace.
