رَأَى المَسِيحيُّونَ مِنْهُ دُمْيَةً

رَأَى المَسِيحيُّونَ مِنْهُ دُمْيَةً

تَعْطُو كَبَدْرٍ فَوْقَ غُصْنٍ مَايِدِ

The Christians saw in him a sculpted figure,

The Christians saw in it a doll

Reaching out, like a full moon above a swaying bough.

Giving like a full moon above a bending branch

فَبرْهَنُوا تَثْلِيثَهُمْ بِشَكْلِهِ

فَبرْهَنُوا تَثْلِيثَهُمْ بِشَكْلِهِ

لَمَّا رَأَوْا ثَلاثةً في وَاحِدِ

So they proved their Trinity by his form,

So they demonstrated their Trinity by its shape
