ظَبْيٌa gazelle لَهُfor him فيin كُلِّevery قَلْبٍheart هَوىًlove
ظَبْيٌ لَهُ في كُلِّ قَلْبٍ هَوىً
قَدْhas حَكَمَdecreed اللَّهُGod بِتَخْليدِهِthat he be immortalized
قَدْ حَكَمَ اللَّهُ بِتَخْليدِهِ
A gazelle for whom every heart holds love.
A gazelle with desire in every heart
God has decreed his immortality.
God destined him for eternity
قَلَّدهُHe invested him with الحُسْنَthe beauty الَّذيwhich يَشْتَهِيhe desires
قَلَّدهُ الحُسْنَ الَّذي يَشْتَهِي
وَهذِهand this نُسْخَةُa copy تَقْلِيدِهِhis decree of investiture
وَهذِه نُسْخَةُ تَقْلِيدِهِ
He invested him with the beauty he desires,
Gave him the beauty that all covet
And this is a copy of his decree of investiture.
This is an imitation of him
