When I heard of the excellence of your generosity,
When I heard of your abundant generosity,
And of the bounty sought from you,
And what is hoped for from your bounty,
وَافيْتُI came أطرقُI knock at بابَthe door of فَضْلِكُمُyour bounty

I came to knock at the door of your bounty;
I came knocking at the door of your favor.
So give alms—may calamity be warded off from you.
So give in charity, to ward off affliction from yourselves.
