غَنينَا بهِ عَنْ كُلّ لَهْوٍ وَلذّةٍ

غَنينَا بهِ عَنْ كُلّ لَهْوٍ وَلذّةٍ

وَقدْ كَمُلَتْ أَوْصَافهُ ونعُوتهُ

وَقدْ كَمُلَتْ أَوْصَافهُ ونعُوتهُ

With him, we have no need of any diversion or pleasure.

He has made us needless of all vain sport and pleasure,

And his qualities and attributes have reached perfection.

And perfect are His attributes revealed in Scripture.

فَمنْ صَدَّ عَنّا حَسْبُه الصَّدُّ وَالقِلى

فَمنْ صَدَّ عَنّا حَسْبُه الصَّدُّ وَالقِلى

ومَنْ فَاتنَا يَكْفيهِ أنّا نَفُوتهُ

ومَنْ فَاتنَا يَكْفيهِ أنّا نَفُوتهُ

Whoever turns away from us, rejection and hatred are enough for him.

So let the churl be vexed that spurns us from his door,

And whoever eludes us, it is enough for him that we elude him.

And he that fails to find us finds his own undoing.
