I will dispel today all the sorrows,
From their taking fair, protected women captive by night.
Of those taken captive in the whiteness of sanctum at night,

Be patient until they see my approach.
Have patience until those who await come forward,
Indeed, I am al-Barrāq, astride the black steed.
I am Al-Burraq above the darkness,

I will return today the smiling one,
The daughter of Lukayz al-Wāʾilī al-Arqam.
Daughter of Luqayz, the long-necked and handsome.
