لِيَكتَنِفكَ السُرورُ وَالفَرَحُ

لِيَكتَنِفكَ السُرورُ وَالفَرَحُ

وَلا يَفُتكَ الإِبريقُ وَالقَدَحُ

وَلا يَفُتكَ الإِبريقُ وَالقَدَحُ

May happiness and joy surround you.

And let neither the pitcher nor the goblet pass you by.

فَتحٌ وَفِصحٌ قَد وافَياكَ مَعاً

فَتحٌ وَفِصحٌ قَد وافَياكَ مَعاً

فَالفَتحُ يُقرا وَالفِصحُ يُفتَتَحُ

فَالفَتحُ يُقرا وَالفِصحُ يُفتَتَحُ

Victory and Easter have come to you together;

so the victory tidings are read aloud, and Easter is ushered in.

وَاليَومُ دَجنٌ وَالدارُ قُطرُبُلٌ

وَاليَومُ دَجنٌ وَالدارُ قُطرُبُلٌ

فيها عَنِ الشاغِلينَ مُنتَزَحُ

فيها عَنِ الشاغِلينَ مُنتَزَحُ

The day is overcast, and our abode is Qutrubul;

within it is a retreat from those who keep you busy.

فَاِنعَم سَليمَ الأَقطارِ تَغتَبِقُ ال

فَاِنعَم سَليمَ الأَقطارِ تَغتَبِقُ ال

صَهباءَ مِن دَنِّها وَتَصطَبِحُ

صَهباءَ مِن دَنِّها وَتَصطَبِحُ

So take your ease, safe on every side, drinking at evening the

tawny wine from its jar, and drinking again in the morning.

وَإِن أَرَدتَ اِجتِراحَ سَيِّئَةٍ

وَإِن أَرَدتَ اِجتِراحَ سَيِّئَةٍ

فَهَهُنا السَيِّئاتُ تُجتَوَحُ

فَهَهُنا السَيِّئاتُ تُجتَوَحُ

And if you wish to commit a sin,

here sins are swept away.
