يُلاوِطُhe practices sodomy وَالاِستُand the arse مِنfrom عِندِهِhis own possession
يُلاوِطُ وَالاِستُ مِن عِندِهِ
فَياso, oh عَجَباًwhat a marvel لِلِّواطِat sodomy المُحالِthe impossible
فَيا عَجَباً لِلِّواطِ المُحالِ
He practices sodomy, yet provides the arse himself—
what a marvel, this impossible sodomy!
أَخَذتَyou took غُلاميmy male servant فَقَنَّعتَهُso you veiled him
أَخَذتَ غُلامي فَقَنَّعتَهُ
وَخَوَّلَكَand granted you الجَهلُignorance أَهليmy family وَماليand my wealth
وَخَوَّلَكَ الجَهلُ أَهلي وَمالي
You took my servant and veiled him,
and ignorance granted you my family and my wealth.
تُكَلِّفُهُyou demand of him فَوقَbeyond ماwhat يَستَطيhe can (continued)
تُكَلِّفُهُ فَوقَ ما يَستَطي
عُ(completes 'he can') إِذاwhen بَرَكَknelt التَيسُthe he-goat تَحتَbeneath الغَزالِthe gazelle
عُ إِذا بَرَكَ التَيسُ تَحتَ الغَزالِ
You demand of him more than he can bear,
when the he-goat kneels beneath the gazelle.
إِذاwhen ماemphatic particle عَلاكَhe mounted you لِذاتِtoward the side of ليَميthe right (continued)
إِذا ما عَلاكَ لِذاتِ ليَمي
نِ(completes 'the right') تَدَحرَجَhe tumbled عَنكَoff you لِذاتِtoward the side of الشِمالِthe left
نِ تَدَحرَجَ عَنكَ لِذاتِ الشِمالِ
Whenever he mounts you toward the right,
he tumbles off you toward the left.
صَبِيٌّa young man يُواسيshares equally عَلَيهِupon him وَفيand in
صَبِيٌّ يُواسي عَلَيهِ وَفي
هِhim رُماةُarchers الكُلىthe kidneys وَذَواتُand women of الحِجالِcurtained chambers
هِ رُماةُ الكُلى وَذَواتُ الحِجالِ
A young man whose favors—upon him and within him—are shared
by kidney-archers and women of curtained chambers.
يُوَقِّرُhe honors مِنsome of رِدفِهِhis rump لِلصَديfor the friend (continued)
يُوَقِّرُ مِن رِدفِهِ لِلصَدي
قِ(completes 'friend') وَيَخبَأُand he hides away مِنsome of أَيرِهِhis cock لِلعِيالِfor the household
قِ وَيَخبَأُ مِن أَيرِهِ لِلعِيالِ
He honors his friend with some of his rump,
and hides away some of his cock for his household.
