آفَةُbane of المُردِbeardless youths فيin خُروجِthe emergence of اللِحاءِbeards
O victim of the black beard!
The bane of beardless youths is the sprouting of beards.

And been stripped of the robes of splendor.
شاهِديmy evidence فيin بَيانِdemonstrating مَوتِكَyour death بَيتٌa verse
قالَهُhe said it شاعِرٌa poet مِنَamong الشُعَراءِthe poets
My proof of your death is a verse
Spoken by a poet among the poets:
لَيسَis not مَنone who ماتَdied فَاستَراحَand then rested بِمَيتٍdead
إِنَّماonly المَيتُthe dead person مَيِّتُthe dead one among الأَحياءِthe living
He who dies and finds rest is not dead;
Only he who is dead among the living is dead.
