أَماdid you not اِشتَقتَyou longed ياO إِنسانُInsan حينَwhen هَجَرتَنيyou forsook me
وَقَدwhile indeed كِدتُI nearly مِنfrom شَوقيmy longing إِلَيكَfor you أَطيرُI fly
Did you not miss me, O Insan, when you forsook me?
While I nearly took flight from my longing for you.
أَراجِعَةٌreturning? أَيّامُناour days مِثلَlike عَهدِهاtheir former state
وَأَنتَand you عَلَيهاover them إِنif أَرَدتَyou wish قَديرُcapable
Will our days return as they once were?
And you can restore them, if you wish.
