And in the remnants of the heart there is a fire,

Kindled in the heart of one distraught with love.

And I have been kept from beautiful women

By what gray hair has taken from my vigor.

I was once a lover of beautiful women,

Drinking saliva with wine at evening.

Fifty years I spent in youthful dalliance,

In middle age and in the reign of youth.
