And yellow ones, their forms like the points of long spears,

    Standing atop chairs of brass.

They donned sheer robes from the late-afternoon sun,

So they shone in the darkness in yellow robes.

Brides whom darkness unveils for their death,

And who come alive when they shed tears of raw gold.

When their necks are struck to please the darkness,

They lend it robes of dawn from their light.

They weep over their innards with their bodies,

So their tears are their bodies, forever flowing.

A radiance has risen over them, working upon their lives,

Just as the days work to shorten life.
