joyful from the journey of conjecture, with its wish fulfilled.

Generously, free from the journey of doubts with his asking

وأفقت حين بلغت ورد نواله

وأفقت حين بلغت ورد نواله

عن ورد ممتنع النوال بخيله

عن ورد ممتنع النوال بخيله

And when I reached the watering place of his bounty, I awoke

And I awoke when I reached the roses of his grant

from seeking water from one who withheld bounty, stingy with it.

From roses whose grant was miserly in its stinginess

فالغيث يغبطني على إنعامه

والدهر يحسدني على تاميله
