لاno بأْسَharm وإنand even if أذَبْتُI melted قلبيmy heart بِهَواكْwith love for you
لا بأْسَ وإن أذَبْتُ قلبي بِهَواكْ
القلبُthe heart ومَنand the one whom سلَبتْهyou robbed him of القلبَthe heart فِداكْa ransom for you
القلبُ ومَن سلَبتْه القلبَ فِداكْ
There is no harm, even though I have melted my heart away in love of you.
No harm, even if I have melted my heart with love for you.
The heart—and the one from whom she stole the heart—are a sacrifice for you.
The heart, and the one whose heart you stole, are a ransom for you.
وَلَّيْتَyou turned away وقلتَand you said أنعَمَmay ... make pleasant اللهُGod مَساكْyour evening
وَلَّيْتَ وقلتَ أنعَمَ اللهُ مَساكْ
مَولايَmy lord وهلand can يَنعَمُbe happy مَنone who ليسdoes not يَراكsee you
مَولايَ وهل يَنعَمُ مَن ليس يَراك
You turned away and said, “May God make your evening pleasant.”
You turned away and said, “May God make your evening pleasant.”
My lord, can one who does not see you ever know delight?
My lord, can one who does not see you be happy?
